Exploring Art in Austin

This four-week intensive seminar will meet once a week on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and will explore art in a variety of locations throughout Austin. Students will examine this topic through various perspectives, including Literature, History, Philosophy, and more. The goal is to uncover the connections between these disciplines and real-world events. Students will enhance their critical thinking and writing abilities, engage in interactive discussions with classmates, and start to find their own voice. The four weeks are divided into Literature, History (World, American, and Geography), and Humanities. The final week will involve presenting a seminar project, which synthesizes the knowledge gained throughout the unit. This project can take the form of an essay, diorama, art piece, or another creation designed by the student.
